The chief officer reports thab the Indra lefb Barry (Wales, England) oil September 28th for Ba'tavia with a cargo of coal. The Indra is a modern cargo carrier specially designed for trading to India, in which she has been employed since ber launch in 1888. She was bnilb ab Liverpool by Messrs T. Royden and Sons, and is the property of bhe Indra Shipping Company, of Liverpool, who also own the Indralema and Indramayo, two steamers which have but recently visited this porb. Captain .Trotter, who is in command, has not previously visited Auckland. The following are the officers of the steamer :—Chief, Mr Baker; second,-Mr Hollies; third, Mr. Hume ; chief engineer, Mr Drew ; second, Mr McKay. The Indra being somewhat before her time will remain in port about ten days, after which she leaves for the; South td complete her loading.
