Shanghai, Ocbober 21. The Chineao military authoribiea have received reports of a greab babtle at the Lower Yalu.
The Japaneao attacked the Chinese position, but were repulsed with heavy loss.
Another report has been circulated that 40.000 Japanese troops have just lefb Hiroshima in thirty-five branaportß. One hundred thousand provincial troops are massing for tho defence of Pekin.
