MRS FANNY STEVENSON'S BANKRUPTCY.
A meeting of creditors in the estate of
Mrs Fanny Stevenson, grocer, was held this morning. There were presenb Mr ,JE. Mahony (solicitor of tho bankrupt) and t_Te following creditors :—Messrs Mennie, ,7. R. Smith, Schischka, A. S, Thompson and Gilmour. Bankrupt Was nob present. Mr Lawson stated that the bankrupt had appealed to him to allow her to keep the furaitonre, bub he told her he had no power, but to make tbe requesb at the meeting of creditors. One of bhe creditors pointed oub that Mra Stevenson had no family and a husband to support, and that no doubt she had other friends who could help her. On the other hand, the creditors had to pay 20s in the £, and, therefore, he personally could nob see his way to make any concession in that direction. Tho creditors concurred in bhe action of the Official Assignee
ia giving instructions for the sale *of the whole of the estate. Ib was agreed to advertise the sale of the bankrupt's furniture.
