Bacon, Canterbury sides, 7d ; hams, 9_d to lOd ; Tamahere bacon, 6£d ; hams, B£d to 9d. MARKET REPORT,

New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. (ltd).—We held our usual weekly hide and skin sale on Tuesday last. Large supplies were catalogued, and competition was active, prices being firm at late quotations. Hides: Prime stout ox are sbill enquired for, and bring extreme prices. Cow hides in good condition show a decided improvement. Quobabions are : Prime stout ox, 5d to s|d per lb ; sloppy and scoured, ljd to 2d per lb ; heavy stoub, 4d bo 4|d per lb ; cow, lgd_ to 2|d per lb ; light and medium, 2_d to s|d per lb ; kip and calf (slow of sale), lid to 3d per lb; sheepskins up to 5s 2d each ; country dry in good condition, 4d to 5d per lb. Produce has been slow of sale, potatoes especially being a drug in the markeb, and may be quoted at 355. If Bhipmenbs decrease, prices will firm considerably. Oats are moving off slowly at is 7_d to .ls 7|d on tbe wharf. Grass seeds : The spring season being practically over, sales are difficult to make. Bonedusb is sbill selling freely ; Runcorn, £5 15s to £6 ; bonedusb and blood manure, £3 5s to £3 10s, ex store. Wool : Tbe fine weather experienced during this month has caused shearing to commence. So far as we have seen, the clip is well grown and in good condition,
