The usual fort-.aightly meeting of the Eden Terrace Primitive Methodist Mutual Improvement Society was held in the Mission Hall, Victoria Avenue, last night, Mr W, Moor in the chair. Tho subjects for the evening were: " What Constitutes a Gentleman " and " What Constitutes a Lady." Misaes Moor and Walsh contributed short essays on the former, and Mr D. Pillinger on the latter. A very interesting discussion followed.

Aba special meeting of the Farnell Borough Council held last evening, a bylaw was adopted dealing with the regulations of the public halls in the borough. The new by-law mll.be brought up for confirmation by the Council a month hence.
