(BY TELEGRAPH, —OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Rotorua, Tuesday. The hearing of a charge of perjury against) Richard Shiels, a witness in the case Scott v. Wharewahi, tried at the Supreme Court last month, when the latter received a ; sentence of imprisonment, occupied the Rotorua Court from Saturday to yesterday, when Shiels was committed for trial. Today Bessie Scott, on whom tho offence was alleged to have been committed, and Emma Matuha, a witness, were also charged with perjury,'and tho case was adjourned to October 27th. Two more informations have been laid.
