SAD END OF A FARM HAND,

• Blenheim, this day. A young man named William Gill, employed on the Hillereden Station, received injuries whilst burning Bcrub on Friday last,' which resulted in hi 9 death. Gill was hemmed in between two fires in a gully, and could nob escape. He sought refuge in a small excavation in the ground caused by a pig rooting, and lay amidst suffocating smoke ;while the flames passed over one - half of his body. After the danger was over Gill inado his way to camp., and was conveyed to the Blenheim Hospital. One side of hia body was much injured, one arm burned almost to the bone, and his faca disfigured. He died yesterday morning.
