The principal of..these proposals is the abolition of conditional licenses, prohibition _of employment of barmaids, and closing of hotels on general election days. Tho other amendments which he proposos are : Reduction bo two gallons of bhe minimum quanbiby of beer allowed to he sold under wholesale licenses, iand! ; prohibition of sale under packet licenses within harbour or river limits. Ib is proposed thab the ago of children to whom liquor may be sold to be consumed off tho premises shall be raised from 13.b0 14 years. 7

Mr W. Hutchison has given notice of a clause to prevent hotel-keepers having billiards on licensed premises.
