Tallow : Medium mutton, 24a ; beef, 235.
The English wheat market shows a general decline of threepence. The Continental is depressed and the American dull. A cargo of South Australian wheat by Earl of Cadogan sold at 22s 6d. Australian and New Zealand white cheese selling at 50s to 565. The Antwerp wool sales have closed, prices being firmer and competition increased as compared with the previous series, especially in Monte Video wools. About 460 bales of Australian wool were sold.
