MEETING OF NORTH SHORE AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB.

The annual meeting of the above club, which has only been in existence two years, was held last night in the Detronporb Maaonic Hotel, when there was a good attendance of members, in epite of the inclement state of the weather. Mr Burgess was in the chair. The report of the Committee for the year stated thab although the accounts showed a loss of £4 Is 9d, the position of the club was most satisfactory. Two meetings were held during the year, which were well patronised by competitors and the public, and, should no opposition occur to future meetings, a substantial balance is looked for ab the nexb annual meeting. The balance-sheet showed the receipts for the year to be £141 13s sd, and the expenditure £139 19* lOd, leaving a balance of cash in hand of £1 13s 7d. The assets of the Club are £1113a 7d, as against £9 14« Id lasb year, and the liabilities £6 Is 3d, as againßt nil for la*b year, showing a credit balance of £5 12s 4d, as. against a' debb, £9 14s Id, of lat-b year, thereby showing a loss of £4 Is 9d on bhe year's operations. The Chairman, in moving the adoption of the report, said that, everything considered, the report was favourable, and the prospects of the coming season were very bright. The Club had t*ken the lead in cycling, and he considered were likely to hold it. The report was adopted. The following officers were elected for ensuing year:—Patron, His Worship the Mayor of Devonport; Vicepatrons, Dr. Roberts, Mr W. Philcox; President, Mr W. Buchanan; Vicepresidents, Mr J. J. Swinnerton, Mr A. Harvey, Air E. W. Burgess; Committee, Messrs C. Waters, E. Inglis. R. McCallum, A. G. Harvey, F. Burgess, H. W. Boyd, J. 8. Coleman, A. A. Martin and W. Walker; Hon. Treasurer, 11. Logan ; Hon. Secretary, R. Wynyard. The meeting was broughb to a conclusion by votes of thanks to the Committee and the Chairman.
