Kawakawa, this day.
Coal matters have taken a sudden turn for the better. The town syndicate held a meeting last night, when it, was agreed to buy Matthews and party nut, together with tho plant and horses, for a lump sum. Tho latter agreed and accepted a deposit. Permission is hourly expected from tho Government to start working the 640 acre lease. A number of old miners hero are anxious to get off the streets.
