The Government received a telegram laafc uighb from Elbhain (Taranaki) stating that a youog woman in the district had developed symptoms which were thought to be tiioae of smallpox. The Premier wired for another msdical man to make a diagnosis of the case.buthis report was not expected before to-day. Iso other particulars are available. LATER. The Government have nob yet received further details of tho case of supposed smallpox ab Eltham. The pabienb ia a girl named Wallace, aged twelve, daughter of j ao engineer ab Henry's Sawmill, Neil Road, j The girl has been strictly isolated pending I further enquiry.
