Portsea. — The manager telegraphed :— *■' Cut No. 1 reef, 18 inches wide. It prospecbs well. Expect to cub the main reef in another 15 feet."

Albubnia.—The manager reports thab operations during- the week have been principally confined to making a connection between the battery and the Clnnes level. This has now been completed and a fair start made to drive upon the course of Dixon's reef. There is at present a good solid block of this reef that has been lefb sbanding. The reef is composed of clay and gritty quartz and is IS inches thick. The new shaft is down 25 feeb. Crushing will be resumed in a few days for the Company. Nob.folk. —The reef in the crosscut at theJAissouri level ia 3 feet thick and has a mi'-ch stronger underlie than when firsb cub.. As a good deal of quartz has boen conning in from the hanging wall side of the re'ai T and also a good flow of water the manager thinks he is near another body of auartk The winza is now down 10 feeb andtbe reef ab the bottom is fully 4 feeb in bhicknese. and gold is freely seen through the dirb when breaking it out. ! Orlando.—The leader has been vory j much eplib up, bub is again becoming more i defined .and shows colours of gold.
