AN OFFICER SHOT.

A PECULIAR ACCIDENT. London, June 15. Fkom Paris comes word of a peculiar fatality. General Edon while examining the troops at the fortifications of Charenton, a suburb of Paris, accidentally snob a Hentenanb. He was examining a revolver which he had been warned was loaded when ib went off, the bullet striking the lieutenant. It seems that the General, owing to being deaf, did nob hear the warning as to the revolver being loaded. The officer is now in the hospital and reported to be dying.
