AUCKLAND SEWAGE.

At 3.30 o'clock this afternoon a Conference ot the Legal Committee of the Auckland Ciby Council and the members of the Auckland Harbour Board was opened at the Harbour Board Buildings in order to consider the question of the sewage now discharged into the Auckland Harbour from the city, The Conference proceedsd to consider the joint report of the City Council Engineer and the Harbour Board Foreman of Works on the question of what plan should be adopted to so dispose of the silt and offensive sewage ut present being deposited in Auckland Harbour so as to prevenb injury to the Harbour. The report, which has already been published, dealb exhaustively with the question of drainage and the destruction of offensive sewage.
