l' D. BOVVMAR'S STATEMENT.

This morning Daniel Bowmar, storekeeper, of Mangawai, a bankrupt, made a sworn statement to the Official Assignee).in Bankruptcy, in the coure of which he stated that he had carried on business in a store at Mangawai for the last two years. He started with a capital of £25. He had been geeting behing in his payments since Christmas, bub had no difficulty in securing supplies of goods. The immediate cause of his tiling was one creditor pressing for £150. •. Pie kept the usual books, with the exception of a cash-book. His total liabilities were, he stated, £687 5s 9d, all unsecured. His assets he estimated at £378 2s 7d, made up as follows:—Book debts, £150; stock-in-trade, £149 2s 7d; caah-in-band. £31 Ba, less £20 for filing fee, etc. ; gum and shop effects, £59.
