The comfort of members in tho present Parliament is to be secured by the appointment 01 a Special Committee of ten. # Mr Joyce intends to ask the Government if they have given any consideration to the -question of establishing an inebriates home lor the colony. Mr Joyce intends to move for a return of expenditure of the sum of £I^soo voted by Parliament laab year for female refuge Work. The same member is desirous of a revision of the Customs* tariff, and also wishes toknow whetherthe Government have made any efforts duriner the recess to bring about a reciprocal tariff treaty of national products with Queensland or any other of the Australian colonies. The fame of Howick, as a place to which facetious people recommend their friends to go, ha 3 spread to Wellington. Major Harris raised quite a laugh yesterday when he intimated his intention to rettiind,the Government of tho needs of the Tillage in the matter of the public wharf.
