The Bank of England returns published to-day show the total reserve in notes and bullion to be £30.846,000. The proportion of reserve to liabilities is 70.46. Consols are 101 J. Three months bills are discounted ab £ per cenb , the market being quiet. New Zealand 4 per cenb. inscribed stock. 109; 3£do., 101*. New Zealand longberried wheat, ex warehouse, 25s 6d; the markeb is steady; South Australian do., 25s 9d, firm ; Victorian, 255, firm. Frozen mutton, first quality, 4d, markeb depressed ; second quality, 3£d. Hemp is unchanged. Sugar : Best German beet, 12s 44d ; Java, 14s, flab. No. 1 beat Scotch pig iron, f.o.b. in Clyde, 41s lOid. An Australian wheat cargo has been aold ab23s6d.
