several days, thence to the meridian of Cape Leeuwin, which waa crossed on Juno Bbh in latitude 46.50 south, freah northwest, west and aouth-west winds, arriving ab Hobart ab 9 a.m. on June 13th. The ateamer landed 85 tons of cargo and 13 passengers at the Tasmanian capital, resuming her voyage for New Zealand the same day ab 5 o'clock. On the run across the Tasman Sea variable winda were experienced for the first! two days followed by strong head winds and sea moderating on approaching port. The Kuabine is still under the command of Captain John Bone, R.N.R., who has amiociated with him the following officers : —Mr R. Clifford, chief ; Mr R. Moorhouse, R.N.R., second (late Waikato); Mr Lawler, third (late Waikato): Mr J. Tnrnbull, fourth ; Mr F. Millman.R.N.R., fifth ; Dr. J. McDonald, M.8.C.M., surgeon*, Mr Waring, chief engineer; and Mr W. Francklin, steward in charge. The uaual entertainments, concerta, etc., wero carried out to the enjoyment of all on board. A birth occurred in the steerage on May 31st, the child being named Josephine Ruahine Molloy. The Ruahine sails for Southern ports probably on Friday next, Wellington being the first; port of call.
