A concerb in aid of the Morrinaville School eventuated on Friday evening last, before a crowded audience, and was a success in every way. Too much praise cannob be given Miss Roberta for the pains she book in working ib up, aa also did Messrs Schofield, Marshall and others. The building was nicely decorated. The chair was taken by Air Marshall. A chorus by the children, "The Jolly Sailors," was nicely snng, and was encored, as also were Mr Mclndne's two nongs, a dueb by Mr McIndoe and Miss Roberts, song by Mr Globes, and a song by Miss M. Pickebt. A selection of " English Airs " on the violin, by Miss Harris, of Te A rob a, was given in a pleasing manner. Miss Ethel Biggs Bang very sweetly and well. The tableaux were all well received, as also were the songa by Mrs Clarke and Mr Schofield, violin items by Miss and Ethel Stanley, hornpipe and highland fling, in costume, by Mr H. Tonge, piano solo by Master John Turnbull, and a farce, the "Rough Diamond." The singing of the " National Anthem " brought a most enjoyable evening to a close. A dance was held afterwards, ab which a good. many were present— (Morrinsville Correspondent.)
