FIRE IN HAWKE'S BAY.
(BY TELEGEAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
Waiboa, Monday. The premises cif C. Roberts, sborokeeper> were to-day totally destroyed by fire, which was first discovered shortly after seven p.m. The seat of the fire was between the bakehouse and the back room of the building, and it had a firm hold. A fierce southerly gale blowing caused dense smoke, and prevented any attempt to save stock, which was all lost. The value is stated to be between £1,000 and £1,500. The owner was out of town, and the insurances are not known. The premises were closed before dark, owing to the stormy day.
