A FATAL FALL.
H WOMAN KILLED AT PARNELL.
A fatal accident occurred ab Parnell about 6 o'clock yesterday, evening, the victim being a married woman about 50 years of age, and wife of Mr Ryan, of St George's Bay Road, Parnell. As the honr mentioned Mrs. Ryan went into the room where her sob, Mr P. R. Ryan was sitting. She had in her hand a lighted lamp, which she placed upon the table, and picking up a candle went towards bhe Btairs. The nexb minute the son heard a scream and a heavy fall.He ran out at once and discovered tbab his mother had fallen downstairs. Upon asking her if she wa« hurt, he received as a reply, "I am killed." Mr Ryan procured assistance and carried bis mother to her bed, bub so terrible were the injuries sustained by Mrs Ryan that she died within twenty minutes of the time when she fell. , Dr. Gordon and Dr. Wrighb' were soon in attendance, bub Mrs Ryan was beyond medical skill. Apparently the nnfortnnate woman tripped and fell forward, as tbe front of the skull was almost reduced to a pulp, buere being a big contused wound over the eye. -The matter was reported to bhe Coroner, and bhe customary inquest was being held ab the deceased's residence when we wenb to press.
