ONSLOW TROTTING CLUB
MEETING
To-morrow the Onelow Trotting Club bring oil their meeting at Potter's Paddock. With fine weather promised, the Club should have a successful gathering. The first event starts at half-past one o'clock. A feature of the meoting is that horses (in saddle) and horses (in sulkies) will compete in the same event. This should ma <c the contests very interesting. In all there are seven events on the programme. Mr Knight has brought the different horses together vory woll, and probably some close contests wil 11 >
Nominations for all events of the Takapuna Jockoy Club Meeting close to-night with Mr Wynyard.
Horse owners should bear in mind that nominations for the Garrett benefit meeting to be hold ab Ellerslie race course clo»e to-morrow night (Saturday) with Mr fl. H. Hayr.
Ab Hunter and Nolan's yard today the lollowing. horses were sold in the estate of the late Robert Garrett :—- Steeplechaser Long Roper, £19 ss, John Roe : brown mare Captress, by Captivator—Nelly, £'20, T. Finlayson ; grey horeo Larry, £12 10a, Pullan und Armitage ; bay maro, £11, Ware. The well-known hunter and steeplechaser Recruit was offered on behalf of Mr \\. D. Holgote. Ho waa knocked down to A. Austin for £25.
