NEW CANADIAN TARIFF.
CONCESSIONS TO ENGLAND AND AUSTRALIA.
Ottawa, March 28. The new Canadian tariff will be beneficial to the trade of Great Britain. Ad valorem duties are substituted for mixed, specific and ad valorem duties. The tariff extends the concession accorded to the United States to England and the colonies. Tho duties en Australian mutton wero re-ad-justed, giving Australia tha advantage of the American and Canadian markets.
London, March 28. Tho new tariff in Canada reduces tho duty on fruit by 5 per cent. The " Times " says the reduction in the wool duty refers to woollen goods.
