MANAWATU RAILWAY COMPANY.
DIVIDEND OF SIX PER CENT.

Wellington, this day. The annual report of the Wellington Manawatu Railway Company states that tire earnings for the year are £88,303, being an increase of £3,739 on last year._ A dividend ab the rate of 6 per cent, is recommended. The assets of the railway and the.rolling stock are down at £763,728. The report says the work of draining the Makerau swamp is progressing satisfactorily.
