JAS. WHITE LAW'S BANKRUPTCY.

MEETING OF CREDITORS.

A very largely attended meeting of creditors of Jas. Whitelaw,-rherchanb, of Kamo, was held this afternoon ab the Official Assignee's Office. Mr C. C. McMillan advocated the appointmenb of Messrs Cook and Gray to wind up the estate, under the supervision of the Official Assignee. The debtor stated thab if he had some person to consult, the estate would realise shillings in the £ more than in any obher person's hands. A resolubion was passed bhab Mr Whitelaw be allowed to carry.on the business under the direction of the Assignee, end thab Messrs Cooke and Gray be employed as supervisors to superintend and investigate the administration of the bankrupt's property, and report to a meeting of creditors in a fortnight. Mr Whibelaw was* allowed 50 per cenb. on his bakings for the first month, and 25 per cent afterwards.
