ATTITUDE OF THE IRISH PARTY,
Lonhon, March 19. The "Times" coneiders thab from Lord Rosebery'B speech ib ia clear that Home Rule is shelved, aad thab an early dissolution of Parliamenb is more than ever probable.
The " Standard" regrets thab owing to Irish clamour Lord Rosebory sought to explain tho position, bhough withoub success.
The Liberal papers are in full accord with bhe speech in which Mr Dillon declares thab hia lordship's explanation proves that he is an honest and honourable champion of Ireland.
Aba Trades - Umion meeting in Hyde Park a resolution waa carried unanimously in favour of abolishing the Honße of Lords. The procession, which was one of tho largest in the history of London, had in its columns a coffin as an emblem of the death of the Royal Veto, and to burn up workers who did not desire a substitute for the Lords by an elective chamber.
Mr E. Blake has informed Lord Rosebery that the Irish party are absolutely satisfied with the new Cabineb.
The " Times " asserts that the Healyites are suspicious with regard to Irish matters. Commenting on Rosebery's speech at Edinburgh, Mr Healy declares that nothing short of Mr Gladstone's Bill will satisfy Ireland.
