The Rev. L. M. Isitb was released from circuit work for a second year, for tho special advocacy of the temperance movement.

The voting for the chairman of the districts resulted in the election for the Auckland district of the Rev. David McNicoll (President of the Conference). With reference to the withdrawal from activo work of the Rev. W. J. Watkins and the Rev. Wm. Rouse, the Conference adopted the following minute : —"Tho Conference deeply regret that owing to failing health two of our brethren, viz., the Revs. W. J. Watkin and Rouse, huvo found it necessary to become supernumeraries, but ab the same time is pleased to boar testimony to the zeal and ability with which they havo served God in the Church of their choice."

The thanks of the Conference were presented to bhe lecburers for their services during the past year, and the following wero appointed as lecturers for the students for tho ensuing year :—Rev. W. J. Watkin, ecclesiastical history ; Rev. Samuel Lawry. English language and literature ; Rev. S. F. Prior, Bible exegoei?.

lb was resolved " Thab in the opinion of this Conference ib if desirable that appointments should be made yoar by year for the visit to this colony of some prominent minisber of bhe English Conference, who shall visit bhe principal circuits of bhe colony, os may be arranged, for the purpose of conducting services and strengthening the posibion of bhe church generally. Tho reporb of the Committee on tho supernumerary ministers and ministers' widows' fund was read and adopted. The capital amounb of the fund showed the sum of £'212,342 to its credit.
