MINE MANAGER'S REPORTS.

Hazelbank.—About 151b of picked stone were obtained from bhe stopes on the cross reef and gold is freely soen. Tho quartz also carries considerable mineral and gold is lreely seen. Darby's leader above tho No. 2 intermediate eaßt shows little or no improvement, bub in tbe west gold is freely seen in tho quartz ab the 4th sbope. The load seems to improve as the sbopes are getting upon it. The lead is nob looking quite co well in the Btopea above the No. 1 level. As there ia a large block here intact and the lead is .strong going up, patches of picked atone may again be meb wibh. Tho stuff pub through bbc stampers has been shaping very poorly, bub latterly there was a slight improvement. There are 690~ of amalgam on baud.

Woodstock. —A etesdy* improvement is noticeable in the character of No. 2 lode ab No*. 3 rlevel. About sfb in. width is being btoken down wibhoutuny appearance of the hangihgwalL About 20fb further should bring the drivo uodor the winze where th. best gold was gob ab- Np.-.2 lev^l, The crushing resulted in an average value of the ore of £3 per ton, showing a recovery of about 60 per cenb of the assay.

Try Fluke.—Nn. 2 reef ab No. 3 level continues small and in tight counbry. The reef in bhe riso continues to carry a litble gold. In the stopes north tho reef has opened out bo three feeb and gives fairly good prospects. A fair quantity of average ore is being got from the main reef above No. 2 level. There are on hand 159-z of amalgam from the plates. Great Mercury.-—So far the return of amalgam from the platen is equal to last crushing. There are 8430z of amalgam on hand to date.

Red Mercury.—The reef in the intermediabo level is bwo feet wide and gold is found in every atone bested. A trial crushing will be made next week. Mariposa,—The reef ia two feeb thick aud still carries gold, bub the prospects are not sufficienb to make bhe ore payable.
