BASS STRAIGHT LIGHTHOUSE.

The Governmenb of Tasmania haa preferred a claim of several thousand pounds againsb bhe Victorian Governmenb for a large sharo in keeping Bass Strait lighthouse in repair. The claim came upon bho Victorian Cabinet as a complete surprise, and the Premier Patterson inbends to remit) the matter to tbe Intercolonial Conference on Lighthouses which meets ab Hobarb in April nexb.
