After the races ab Caulfield on Saturday Fortunatus beab Sclim over six furlongs in lmin 153 sec, the former having hiß shoes off. Tullamore also sped over six furlongs very smartly. At Flemin.ton this morning Patron romped, over Portsea in a mile gallop, the time registered being lmin 48£ sec, whilsb the Arab cantered away from King Bolt, covering six furlongs iv lmin 20^3ec. Private advices from Ballarat favour Brotherton'B chance for the Newmarket Handicap, bub Elswick is under a slight cloud. vybakawatea is credited with having traversed a really excellent six furlongs ab Cadlhald on Saturday.
