At Flemin.ton this morning Patron romped, over Portsea in a mile gallop, the time registered being lmin 48£ sec, whilsb the Arab cantered away from King Bolt, covering six furlongs iv lmin 20^3ec. Private advices from Ballarat favour Brotherton'B chance for the Newmarket Handicap, bub Elswick is under a slight cloud. vybakawatea is credited with having traversed a really excellent six furlongs ab Cadlhald on Saturday.
