Ab Coromandel on Tuesday lasb William Henry Elmoro was charged before Mr Kenny, R.M., with using a defaced stamp on the 9th January. Mr Biss, Chief Postmaster of Auckland, Mr Inder, local Postroaster, and others, gave ovidence. Mr McAlister conducted the case for the Postal Department. The R.M. said the case was proved to his satisfaction, and inflicted a small penalty of 21s, as the costs amounted to £6 Is.
