KAURI GUM MARKET.
Auckland, 7th Febuary, 1894,
The unabated production here while the Home demand has decreased, is a serious element in the gum maikeb. The supplies tor the year ending 31sc December, 1893, were larger than they havo been since 1888. For last month 713 tons was the ; supply, and for seven days of February the supplies are aboub 163 tons. The nexb London auctions take place to-morrow, the result of which should be learnb here by the 9th instant, bub we nob see any chance of any recovery ab present. Meanwhile this market is vory dull, especially for the poorer qualities, which compose the bulk of the supplies at this soaßon of the year. We quote:— Poor Ordinary ~, '£30 Fair Ordinary' ... £37 Good Ordinary ... .... £40 to, £42 East Coast ... .... .... £58
