YACHT RACE.

THE MANOLA WINS.

The sailing race between the crack centreboard yacht Manola and the tishingr boab Venice, was Btarbed this morning, the course being round 'Tiri and back. A etifJ westerly breeze prevailed. • The boats started from the wharf by mutual consenb ab nine o'clock. The Venice disappeared round the North Head about 6sec ahead. Tiri, 11.15 a.m. The yachts are now entering Whangaparoft passage. The Manola is leading by about four minutes. Tiri, 12.5 p.m.

The yachts are now rounding Shearer buoy, There ia only one minute and a-half of time between them now. The Venice is gradually gaining ground. Tue Manola won by about 10 minutes.
