THE CANTERBURY MATCH.

Christchurch, this day. The match between New South Wales and Canterbury was continued at Lancaster Park at noon to-day. On a good wicket at the start, the home team had made 295 for the loss of eight wickets, Pearce being no* out (37), and Collins (nob out), 10. Austin and Miller took up the bowliog, aud Pearce scored 5 off tho first two overs, causing 300 to go. up. Tho score steadily increased until 320 was posted, when Gould tooli the ball from Austin, Collins cutting his first ball for two. The following are the additional scores : Collins 2 6 Pearce 5^ Robertson (not out) — Total, first innings, 331.
