Sydney, February 2.

The burglars are believed to be wellknown Victorian criminals, bub nothing is known by the police here aboub them except that one, Montgomery, is a native of New Zealand. Although the robbers gob nobhing, they had succeeded in cutting the back onb of the safe. They will be charged with unlawfully wounding and attempted murder. The Premier vieited the injured policemen in the hbspital. One of them, Bowden, is in a very serious condition. Sir G. R. Dibbs has issued instructions to immediately arm the polico with revolvers, and has decided to substantially reward the men for their courage.
