OPERA HOUSE.

THE COMING ATTRACTION.

By tbe steamer Rotomahana this morning Mr Allan Hamilton arrived from Sydney, having made arrangements for the appearance here of F. M. Clark's celebratd Album bra Company from the Opera House, Melbourne, who are passengers by the Mararoa due here on Monday morning. The first appearance of the Company will positively take place on Monday night, and this can be accomplished without difficulty from the fact that the Company are bringing everything with them intact, such as orchestra, scenery, supernumeraries, etc., so that no " outside " or local assistance is required. The personnel of the company number* forty-four people all told with the well-known actor and vocalist, Mr Frank M. Clark, at its head, lb is now ten years since Mr Clark appeared in Auckland, but his rare wit and excellent vocalisation will be heartily welcomed once more by those who saw him on the previous visit. No fewer than six comedians appear, proYninent amongst whom are Mr Harry Shine, Mr Steve Adson and Mr Harry Gilbert, all of whom now make their debut in New Zealand. Added to these, snch old favourites as Johnny Cowan and Charles Fanning will be seen once more. Coming to the ladies, of whom there are twenty-tnree, we are promised snch a " bower of beauty" that has seldom if ever been seen on the local stage. A reference to our advertising columns will give full particulars as to names. Suffice it to say that a complete ballet is carried, and no expense has been spared to select the very best available talent in the Vaudeville profession. Mr Hamilton wishes to point out that at preeenb such an entertainment as hs proproses to submit to the Auckland public on Monday night has tor a long time been highly patronised at the London Empire and Alhambra Theatres. There will be no approach to any thine like vulgarity, so that paterfamilias need have no doubt as to whether io is prudent to take his children or not. Everything will be carried on in as firsbclais atyle as the besb thing ever aeen here —of that we have Mr Hamilton's personal assurance—popular prices will bo charged, and we see no reason why thd short season of twelve nights should not prove as satisfactory to tbe management as we hope it will to the public.
