SUGGESTED AMENDMENTS. (I>Y TELEGEAF.H—I'RKSS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, this day. The Wellington papers, commenting on the recent decision under the Factories Act, suggest that it should be remodelled, and a Consolidated Act brought in. The Labour Department.however, say there will be no necessity for such a course. The Act has worked well, and in every ci*se except two brought under it the prosecution has been successful. One or two acaendmenta are found neceesary, including provieions j respecting piecework, and these will bo I brought down this year, but thexe is ro ' intention of incciiering with the measure laa a whole.
