PEARL SHELL FLEET WRECKED.

TWENTY-TWO LIVES LOST.

SEVERAL HOMESTEADS WRECKED,

Perth, January 18. Particulars of the tornado ab Roeburn show thab at least twenty-two lives wero lost and several homesteads wrecked.

A number of Chinamen were amongst tho killed.

The schooner Annie sank in Foam Passage, and a man nnmed Erickaon, with his wife and child and fourteen coloured men, were drowned. Mosb of the pearl shell fleet were driven ashore at Cossack. Twelve lugcera are missing. Twenty inches of rain fell.
