Brett's Auckland Almanac for 1894 is
now issued, and is on sale at the Stab office, our agents, and local booksellers. As usual, the Almance Is replete with information of all kinds, and a special feature is the complete diary in the work. This alone is invaluable to business men, and worth the one shilling charged for the Almanac. A summary of the new Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Act is also given, besides the other Acts passed during the session of the New Zealand Parliament of 1893. Among the many other features of the Almanac are the stamp duties, ocean mail services for 1894, all information in reference to the arrival and departure of mails from the head office, and parcel post system, Auckland and Aianukau harbour signals, courses and distances for New Zealand, high water table, regulations as to close season for oysters and mullet, railway time-tables and fares, vaccination, registration of births, deaths, and marriages, ready reckoner, seasons of the year, eclipses, meteorological observations, complete guide to farm and garden operations for the year, statistics in reference to industries of the colony, tourists' guide, and description of the city of Auckland and country districts, besides a mass of other information. There is aho a complete calendar in the work, besides a thoroughly revised official and local directory. Altogether, tho Almanic is most complete, and it is not only invaluable to rosidents of tho Auckland province, buO to tlio»e resident in London and throughout Australasia.
