Melbourne, November 21. The " Age " devotes a leader to the proposal of the Premier of New Zealand to advance moiaey to assist land settlements. In doing so it points to the similarity of the Argentine Republic and New Zealand, and states that unless the Government introduce safeguards against a speculative rise in land which may be looked for, the scheme is fraught with danger; but if the difficulties can be guarded against then it i considers that a great advance has been made in the solation of the problem of settling people on the land with little capital.
