ATTEMPTED SUICIDE AT TAURANGA.
ADDITIONAL PARTICULARS.

Tauranga, this day. On Saturday night, a man named Edwin A. G. Tabbersall arrived overland from the Thames, and pub up ab bhe Yorkshire Grey Hobel. He was a married man, and reprosenbod himself to be a traveller for Messrs Seccombe and Son, brewers, Auckland. After having tea, he walked down town in company with other boarders, apparently in good spirits, returned to the hotel, and, after supper, wenb to bed. Early in the morning he complained of boobhache and asked for a glass of brandy. After talking for some bime, he showed symptoms of poisoning, and sbabed thab ho had taken a concoction of lucifer matches with the intention of committing suicide. Doctors were senb fer, and evidences of poisoning were found in his room. He now lies in the room where he was talking at the timo of his declaration ' in charge of the police, and is in a precarious condition. Ho gives no reason for the rash act, but states that he broke the leg of a horso belonging to his wife at the Thames, and was afraid to lob her know. There is litble hope of his recovery.
