There was heavy wagering in bhe rooms lasb nighb. The Sailor Prince lefb off favourite for the Derby ab 100 to 18, after 400 to 64 had been taken about him. Aquarius and Carnage attracted considerable business, bhe latter being supported down to 6 to 1, ab which price £800 was baken aboub him, causing 100 to 17 bo be the beßb offer. Afber 700 bo 100 had been taken about Aquarius in one line, wagers of 600 bo 90, and 100 to 15 were accepted, bhe closing price being 100 to 16. Other wagers taken were as follows :—BOO to 92 aboub Pabron, 900 bo 81 about Pounamu, 700 to 49 aboub Lighb Artillery. 1,500 to 250 wan accepted about Tim Swiveller for the Melbourne Cup, and 100 to 11 is now offered. Loyalty is easier ab 100 to 8. 700 to 56 has been taken about Camoola, and 850 to 51 aboub Sainfoin. All There has been driven back to 100 to 2. A protest entered by the owner of Oxide against Sainfoin receiving first money in the Caulfield Cup was dismissed, and the stakes have been paid over to Mr Carslake, the nominator of Sainfoin.
