THE LIBERAL COMMITTEE'S CATECHISM.
Here are the pledges which the Auckland United Liberal Electoral Committee require' of those who aspire to represent the constituencies of the Auckland provincial district :—
1. To give a loyal supporb bo the presenb Government. '■-■ 2. In ail questions of policy bo support and uphold bhe decisions and will of a majority of the Liberal party in the House of Representatives. 3. To endeavour to secure by just legislation the settlement of the land in small areas, and bbc permanent improvement of the condition of the workers of the colony. 4. To supporb the Shop Hours Bill, Lands for Settlement Bill, Conciliation and Arbitration Bill.
5. Are you in favour of the railways reverting to the control of the people through the Minister of Public Works ? . i 6. Are you in favour of giving the Alcoholic Liquor Sale Control Bill a fair trial ? v , . •. :>„ 7. Are you in favour of the principle of the Co-operative System for Governmenb and Municipal works? 8. Will you advocate a just and speedy settlement of the claims of naval and volunteer land claimants ? 9. Will you uae every endeavour to ensure the speedy construction of the Auckland and Wellington railway via Taranaki? 10. Will you supporb such amendments bo bhe Shipping and Seamen's Acb as will secure justice bo the seamen employed, and safety to the public.
