Melbourne, this day. Aquarius, carrying 7sb 121b, beat The Gardener (6sb 7lb), Port Admiral (9st 51b)> Sbernchaser (9st 101b), and nine others ab Oaklands races yestierday in the Wallaby Handicap. He won easily by two lengths, the time beifag lmin 17Jsec. Aquarius and Sternaiiaser were equal favourites at 5 to 2. All the money in the market is exhausted about Loyalty, at about 100 to 9. After 500 to 50 was accepted, 500 to 90 was taken about The Sailor Prince for the V.R.C. Derby, and 800 tto 100 Pulvil. Lord Hopetown has been backed to win about £7,000 for the Cup ab 100 to 2, bub thab price is still on offer. £2,000 to 80 was also taken about Sbernchaser. Malvolio is doing splendid work ab Caulfield, and Camoola at Mentone.
