Wellington, this day. At the Synod meeting the Rev. Coffey's resolution, re Bible reading in schools, was discussed. The first;, second and third Glauses were passed, and the fourth losb. The firsb bhree clauses affirmed bhe desirability of introducing a privabe schools Bill and providing for religious insbrucbion during school hours. The fourth clause, which was defeated, was a recommendation to Churchmen bo vobe for candidabes pledged bo these views.
