LAPSED IN NEW SOUTH WALES,
Sydney, this day. The Proinier states that tbe proclamation under the Bank Issue Act, having fulfilled ita duty, and as no bankers have asked for its extension, tho Governmenb intend to let the Acb lapse and return to specie payment within the next month.
Tho total amount of Treasury note^ issuod during the crisis was £353,000, of which thero was received for repayment £334,000.
