NORTHERN S.S. CO.'S MOVEMENTS. Thursday. — Argyle for Kuaotunu and Mercury Bay ab7 p.m.; Wellington arrives from Whangarei. Fkidat.— Clanmnan arrives from Russell early and leaves for Tauranga ab 7 p.m. ; Wellington leaves for Whangarei, Marsdoc Point, Mangapai, and Parua Bay at 10.30 p.m. Thames Service. — Rotomahana or Ohinemuri leaves for Thames daily, and s.s. Paeroa leaves for Paeroa twice weokly.
IMPORTS. Per Tarawera, ex Cuzco: 15 cases floor cloths.—W. Davenport and Son, House Furnishers, Karangahape Road. Per Pukaki, from Dunedin, Oamarn, Timaru and Gisborne :—5,066 sacks wheat, 2,790 sacks flour, 750 sacks bran, 675 sack? oats, 125 sacks malt, 297 sacks pollard, 25 pieces stone, 150 sacks potatoes, 65 case* jam, 30 boxes soap, 35 hogsheads ale, 70 packages agricultural implements, 14 cases cheese, 26 cases bacon, 140 cases dried fruit, and sundries. This morning tho brigsntine Defiance cleared the Kaipara Heudß, and sailed for Sydney. This morning the schooner Waiwera sailed for Whangarei to load timber for Napier. The barqneotine Jerfalcon left the Bluff yesterday for Maiden Island to load guano back again. The Auckland barque Dovonporfc left) Newcastle yesterday for Onehunga, witk & cargo of coals. Shortly afbar noon to-day the s.s. Tarawera left for Southern ports, Hobarb and Melbourne with a general cargo. Yesterday the three-masted schooner Adelaide lefb Newcastle for the Thames with coals, on discharge of which she loado timber back to Sydney. The Government steamer Hinemoa was ab Russell yesterday morning on her way to the Norbhern lighthouses. She lefb in the evening for Whangaroa. The Northern S.S. Company's steamer Gairloch is on the Patenb Slip, at Welling* ton, for an extensive overhaul. She leaves for New Plymouth and Onehunga on tho 23rd inst. At 8 o'clock lasb evening the s.s. Puka^ arrived from Dunedin, Omaru, Timaru and Gisborne with a large cargo of grain and produce and berthed ab the Quay-street Jetty. She experienced fine weather along the coaali. To-day tho American barquentine Elinor Vernon is 138 days oub from New York to Dnnedin, and is therefore fully due. She has a full general cargo, parb of which is for this port. The Elinor Vernou sailed from New York 2 days before the Auckland barque Kathleen Hilda, which is now duo here, after discharging a parb cargo ab Wellington.
