Christchurch, this day. Yesterday afternoon, about 300 men attended a meeting of tho unemployed, called by the Mayor, Mr Eden George, who maw a lengthy speech, attacking the Minister for Labour and tho Lyttelton " Times. * resolution was carried, demanding wow, before tho Hon. Mr Reeves loft Christchurch, for every man who wanted it. j> George spoke of his candidature for Parliament, and the meeting passed him a vote" thanks for the assistance he had render^ tho unemployed. Groans were givenlo the Lyttelton "Times" and the Mm* for Labour, and cheers for the " Press.
