RETIREMENT OF MR L. WILSON.

Wellington, this day. Owing to the amalgamation of the Customs and Marine Departments Mr Lewis Wilson, Assistant-Secretary of Marine, has to retire. He entered the Department in 1867 and took hia presenb poaibion in 1887.

Mr Glasgow, Under-Secretary of Customs, bakes charge of Marine as well. Mr Wilson is nob enbibled bo a pension, bub receives the usual compensation ab the rato of a month's salary for every year in tho service.
